To qualify for chiropractor jobs in Michigan, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete the basic chiropractic education with the supporting certification.
  • Have a license
  • Have a criminal background check
  • Have their fingerprints taken
  • Attend Continuing Education
  • Attend sexual boundaries training

Michigan Board of Chiropractic

This is the board in charge of licensing chiropractors and regulating the practice in Michigan. For all licenses, the board requires that each applicant attend the biennial Continuing Education and pay a license fee as stated below.

Initial license fee: $120

License renewal fee: $190

Relicensure fee: $140

Continuing Education

The board requires not less than 30 CE hours renewed every 2 years. 15 distance credit hours are also allowed. Of all these hours 1 hour must be spent on ethics, 1 on pain and symptom management, 1 on special boundaries, 2 on physical measures, 2 on performance and ordering of tests and the CE program must have a special course on human trafficking.
