The British Chiropractic Association is the oldest and original chiropractic association in the UK. It’s been around for 95 years and has had its hand in developing and moving the profession forward. They have been tackling big issues for chiropractic for the entire span of its existence. As any chiropractor is well aware of, our profession has had its share of hard times. I know just in the US from the early 1900’s onward it was one legal battle after another. Once the American Medical Association got involved in the 1960’s the storm just worsened until the 1980’s. Then it took another 20 years to help improve the image of the profession. I can’t imagine that chiropractors around the world, including the UK, didn’t face the same struggles. It was great to read that the BCA has helped in those battles too.
