We are currently seeking a Medical Report/Chart editor to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for Physician with Workers Compensation experience to join a dynamic and growing team of Physicians and Surgeons. You will work closely with our team of Surgeons and QME’s to produce high quality medical reports that meet the industry standards. The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of medical terminology
Proficiency in English grammar and usage
The ability to work collaboratively with a team of medical professionals
A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and correct errors in written materials
Prior California’s Workers Compensation experience will be ideal but not required
You will be Responsible For:
Assess patient medical history and records
Communicate information to lead physician regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
Maintain patient medical records
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Perform non-clinical duties involving the evaluation of and review of labs, medical notes, and patient charts
Medical transcription and editing of medical reports/ chart notes, reviewing for accuracy and sequencing of diagnosis to those assigned from:
Consultation Reports
History & Physical report
Operative Reports
Progress Reports
Discharge Reports, including complex cases
Medical writing; developing educational material; literature searches
Perform other job duties as assigned
