*Overview*
CenTex Injury and Worker’s Comp specializes in treating injured workers. Our Chiropractors play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. This position focuses on evaluating the functional capacity of injured workers in a multi-disciplinary setting. You can learn more at www.ciwctexas.com.
You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, medical providers, massage therapists, and rehabilitation specialists.
Our clinic hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00am until 5:30pm, with a half day on Friday from 8:00am until noon.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including Functional Capacity Evaluations.
* Work with other providers on developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based practices.
* Provide a limited amount of chiropractic adjustments and manual therapies such as spinal manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue techniques, and joint traction.
* Apply adjunctive therapies (electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat/ice therapy, therapeutic exercise) as permitted by state law.
* Educate patients on posture, ergonomics, exercise, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
* Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
* Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate updates to the care team.
* Collaborate with medical providers, physical therapists, and other staff for coordinated care.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and professional clinical environment.
* Adhere to clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and professional standards.
* Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education.
Qualifications
* Required:
o Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from an accredited chiropractic college
o Active Texas chiropractic license
o Current CPR/BLS certification
o Strong assessment and documentation skills
o Excellent communication and patient education skills
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient setting
* Preferred:
o Experience in outpatient, rehabilitation, or integrated medical clinics
o Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, sports rehabilitation, and functional movement assessment
o Familiarity with EHR systems
Physical Demands
* Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and sitting
* Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs as needed for patient assistance or equipment
* Ability to perform repetitive manual therapy techniques throughout the day
