About the Role: As a Chiropractor in the Health Care Services industry in Canada, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients with neuromuscular disorders, primarily through manual adjustment and manipulation of the spine. Your work will focus on improving patients' physical function, alleviating pain, and enhancing their overall quality of life through non-invasive techniques. You will conduct thorough patient assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and monitor progress to ensure effective care. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals will be essential to provide comprehensive patient-centered care. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to promoting wellness and preventing future injuries within the community. Note that this is an independent contractor position. Responsibilities: Perform detailed patient evaluations including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to identify musculoskeletal issues. Develop and implement individualized chiropractic treatment plans using manual adjustments, mobilization, and other therapeutic techniques. Educate patients on lifestyle, ergonomics, and exercise to support recovery and prevent recurrence of symptoms. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and clinic policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and refer patients to other specialists when necessary. Skills: The required skills enable the chiropractor to accurately assess patient conditions and deliver effective manual treatments that alleviate pain and improve mobility. Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients about their conditions and treatment plans, fostering trust and compliance. Diagnostic proficiency ensures that treatment is tailored to each patient's unique needs, enhancing outcomes. Preferred skills such as familiarity with EHR systems streamline documentation and improve coordination with other healthcare providers. Additionally, bilingual abilities and specialized certifications expand the chiropractor's capacity to serve a broader patient base and address complex cases with advanced therapeutic approaches. Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from an accredited chiropractic college. Current and valid license to practice chiropractic in Canada. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and neuromuscular disorders. Proficiency in patient assessment and diagnostic techniques relevant to chiropractic care. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Additional certifications in specialized chiropractic techniques or rehabilitation therapies. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Continuing education in pain management or sports chiropractic care.
