The Chiropractor provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions using soft-tissue therapy, joint mobilizations and manipulations, and corrective exercises within a collaborative sports medicine setting. Key Responsibilities · Perform chiropractic assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and develop patient-centred treatment plans focused on active therapies and effective management · Deliver evidence-based manual therapy, soft tissue techniques and corrective exercises targeted at the root of the problem · Provide exercise prescription, ergonomic advice, and injury prevention strategies. · Communicate with other multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated patient care. · Maintain accurate health records in compliance with College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO) standards. · Educate patients about their condition and the benefits/risks of proposed treatment. Qualifications · Mandatory: o Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from an accredited institution. o Registration in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. o Current liability insurance coverage. · Recommended: o 2 years of clinical experience within an athlete / active population is an asset o Completion or in pursuit of specialization pathway is an asset o Licensed for acupuncture / dry needling is an asset o Additional professional development training may be an asset and will be considered on a case-by-case basis Compliance Must comply with all CCO regulations, including the Standard of Practice for Consent, Record Keeping, and Advertising.
